At San Mateo Surgery Center, we accept most major insurance plans including Workers Compensation, Medicare, and most PPO’s. We understand that navigating the complex rules and regulations that exist within your insurance program may be difficult. Our experienced staff is here to help you understand your bill and your financial responsibilities. In addition, we always contact your insurance provider on your behalf to verify your insurance benefits and begin the submission process for your claims. Paying Your Bill
Payment for services is due on the day of surgery. We accept cash, cashier’s checks, personal checks and credit cards. Additionally, all deductible and co-pays must be paid on the day of service.
Financial Responsibility
San Mateo Surgery Center recognizes that payment for surgical services can often be difficult. We are committed to remaining flexible in regards to our patient’s financial situation. In the event that you cannot meet your financial responsibilities to San Mateo Surgery Center, we will work with you to make other financial arrangements. To request alternative methods of financing you must contact San Mateo Surgery Center in advance of your scheduled procedure.

*** You may also receive (and are financially responsible for) bills from your anesthesiologist, physician, or any other diagnostic services if needed from a pathologist, laboratory, radiologist or other services.
